My Redline and Nuclear Right
To me, Iran does have the right to have nuclear technology however I do not think they should have the right to nuclear weapons. People are nervous because they are unable to know what Iran's next move with be. For Iran to have nuclear technology, I think they must comply to all the regulations. For example Iran should allow inspections in all nuclear facilities not just one or two. When Iran does not agree to the regulations that is when action needs to be taken. People should force the regulations on all countries because when someone breaks the treaty and nothing is done then there was no point in anyone signing the treaty. My personal redline for any country if I was president is when they do not adhered to the regulations. Again you signed the treaty so you should follow it not just do what you want to. It would be a very scary world if all countries could go and make nuclear weapons, you would always have to watch over you shoulder. What would be wonderful would be if there was no nuclear weapons at all however that will most likely never happen. So all countries will have to keep each other in check and make sure that people are following the regulations

I agree with you! If every country has nuclear weapons, it's almost inevitable that nuclear warfare would take place. I also agree that all countries need to adhere to the treaty they signed. If they didn't adhere to the treaty, would you use military action right away? At what point would you use that, if ever?
ReplyDeleteI also agree because its not scary to have nuclear energy its scary what is being done with it. If Iran was following the regulations then people wouldn't be so worried about it. I agree that all the countries should follow the treaty because it is there only for everyone's safety and by not singing it, it shows that you are not going to be safe with the nuclear energy.
ReplyDeleteI agree that every country that has nuclear capabilities should have to follow regulations. Without regulations the world would be chaos. There really needs to be some way to enforce the regulations and consequences for the countries who do not comply to the rules.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Nuclear energy is a fairly green form of energy, therefore it should be developed on a world scale. However, that is not the case with nuclear weapons. The more nuclear weapons there are in the world the more likely a terrorist group is to get their hands on one. If Iran adheres to worldwide regulation on their nuclear program then, and only then, can Iran continue to develop its nuclear program.
